ATRES is the professional organisation for those involved in the teaching and training for teaching of Religious and Moral Education in Scottish schools. Since 1964 it has worked on behalf of teachers to ensure that the high standard of RME in Scottish schools is maintained. It provides a framework for those involved in RME in Scotland to work together to promote RME.

Membership of ATRES is available to any Primary or Secondary teacher involved in the teaching of RME in Scotland. It is also available to any person who is involved in the training of teachers of RME or others professionally involved in the promotion and support of Religious and Moral Education.

New Website
A new website is currently being developed for ATRES which will offer much more for ATRES members such as downloadable resources and improved connection between individual members and the organisation.
We aim to launch the new website in the early new year and will keep members updated with developments.
