The Executive Committee of ATRES is elected every year at its AGM, which is held during the annual conference.
The current Executive consists of:

The ATRES Executive meets on a regular basis to review current developments in RME and also to plan the Conference and the content of the journal.
ATRES hold an annual conference in Scottish Churches house in Dunblane. This is a high quality conference, which addresses important issues in RME as well as providing an opportunity for those involved in RME to meet with other colleagues on a social level and give them the opportunity to share good practice.
ATRES was involved in educational developments such as 5-14, Higher Still, SQA Short Courses. ATRES and its members are continualy involved in any changes to SQA Certificate Courses and it produces responses to Scottish Qualifications Authority examinations as well as regularily reviewing HMIE reports with regard to the current teaching of RME in Scottish Schools. ATRES is also on the Register of Interest for the 'Curriculum for Excellence'
ATRES lobbies for improvements in Scottish RME with: The Scottish Executive; SQA; Local Authorities.
ATRES responds to media reports connected with RME.
ATRES produces a variety of different resources for the teaching of RME.
